Extracranial catotid stenting

Case 1 : Elderly gentleman presented with few transient ischemic attacks

Tight stenosis of left internal carotid artery is noted at its origin.

Self expanding stent is seen in situ across the stenosis  with its one end in ICA and another in CCA

Post stenting angiogram shows almost normal calibre of left ICA  sfter stenting

 

 Case  2: Elderly gentleman presented with history of stroke which recovered almost completely.

Left carotid angiogram shows tight stenosis at bifurcation of common carotid artery extending into the origin of left internal and external carotid artery

After deployment  of self expending stent.

Post stenting  angiogram shows excellent restoration of calibre of left common and internal carotid artery
