Embolization of vertebral metastatic tumour

51 year old man had backache due to metastatic deposits at 8th and 9th thoracic vetebrae  from thyroid carcinoma . Since the metastatic deposits from thyroid carcinoma are vascular , preoperative embolization is must to facilitate surgery by reducing the vascularity almost totally.

Thyroid metastatic deposit is characteristically vascular and is  supplied by left 9 th intercostal artery

Postembolization left 8th intercostal angiogram shows no evidence of tumor blush.
