Pseudoaneurysm compression

Pseudoaneurysms which sometimes arise from common/ superficial femoral artery after angiograms or angioplasty can be obliterated by manually compressing under ultrasound guidance obviating need for surgery
Doppler ultrasound shows neck ( entry point of blood into pseudoaneurysm ) of the pseudoaneurysm well. The compression needs to be given on the neck to obliterate entry of blood into the pseudoaneurysm
Pseudoaneurysm is seen here between the markers
Pseudoaneurysm on doppler shows area part of the lumen where thrombus is present and part of the lumen where blood is circulating.
Doppler examination after compression for 20 min shows no blood circulation inside the pseudosneurysm indicating it has got thrombosed completely
