Radio frequency ablation

Case - 1: patient with history of liver cirrhosis was detected with a small hepatocellular carcinoma. It was larger for alcohol ablation, hence it was treated with radiofrequency ablation.
Radiofrequency (RF) ablation was done under CT guidence. Here patient is seen with RF probe in situ while position is getting checked by CT scan.
RF probe is seen inside the tumour with its fangs opened up
Radiofrequency ablation generates heat and we can see black air bubbles within the tumor as its effect.
Post radio frquency ablation tumour shows change in its CT density and presence of air within.
